Beth Thomas, Massage Therapist
Beth brings a unique blend of intuition, flow, and therapeutic skills to her practice at KnotStressed.
Her journey as a therapist began with a Diploma in Holistic Massage and intuitive approach, which she has honed and enhanced through advanced training with the Jing Institute, that will be completed later in 2025.
This has equipped her with a deeper understanding of the body and a versatile toolkit for addressing both relaxation and specific pain issues.
Beth’s approach is highly client-centered, beginning with a thoughtful consultation to explore the client’s needs, preferences for pressure, and their desired level of involvement in the session. For those seeking relief from specific pain or tension, Beth can employ a remedial approach, incorporating deep tissue and hands free techniques and encouraging active client participation to target problem areas. Alternatively, for clients looking to relax and recharge, she offers a more holistic treatment, creating a deeply restorative experience.
Whether the session leans toward deep tissue techniques or gentle, flowing movements, Beth’s treatments are always tailored to strike the perfect balance between therapeutic benefit and relaxation. She thrives on adapting her style to meet each client’s needs, blending technical expertise with an intuitive touch to deliver a massage experience that is both effective and nurturing.
Beth’s ability to seamlessly integrate these approaches makes her an invaluable member of the KnotStressed team, helping clients find relief, relaxation, and renewed energy in every session.
Alongside massage, Beth also co-runs a wholefoods co-op in Marchmont called The New Leaf Co-op. Both aspects of her working life orient around health and well-being, within an environmentally conscious ethic. Outside of work Beth is happiest when she is stomping and moving to good rhythms or relaxing with loved ones or a good book or swimming in wild waters.
