Rhian Heppleston, Massage Therapist
Though originally a linguist and translator by trade, I have always been keenly interested in overall well-being and nutrition. My desire to work within complementary therapies stems from personal experience of close ones suffering from chronic pain, but also from a life-long fascination with the workings of the human body. The key for me is in the term ‘complementary’; I don’t see it as a substitute to western medicine, but rather as a partner. A firm believer that complementary therapies are integral to the pursuit of a healthy, balanced lifestyle, I encourage clients to embrace both conventional treatments and complementary therapies, where possible. Living a preventative lifestyle can help preempt pain and sickness, and natural medicines and a holistic approach to healthcare can play an important role in achieving this.
I aim to provide a safe, nurturing space to experience the full benefits of therapeutic massage, and to ensure that each client’s individual needs and wishes are respected and met.
What I particularly love about massage therapy is the variety: no one day is the same, and no one client is ever the same. As a result, it is proving to be extremely rewarding and enriching.
