My Approach

My approach is holistic, science-based, non-judgmental, supportive and personalised. I use the guidance and eating plates provided by the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT). Before the consultation, I send you a questionnaire to fill out. During the consultation, we discuss your symptoms, health history, each of your body systems (as everything is connected!) and review your diet and lifestyle questionnaire.

I may also incorporate the use of some simple Chinese medicine checks. Within two days I will send you your personalised nutritional plan.Your plan sets out actions for you to put in place for a specified period of time. I use food first but occasionally recommend supplements where appropriate. I can offer functional testing where appropriate (e.g. DNA, vitamin D, food intolerance, GI mapping). I may also recommend yoga or breathing exercises if appropriate. Ideally I would see you again 4-6 weeks after your initial consultation for a follow-up, where we can update your plan, possibly taking it ‘to the next level’, or perhaps reintroducing foods that you may have needed to eliminate.

Qualifications

I received my qualification (Naturopathic Nutrition) from the College of Naturopathic Medicine, after studying for three years. My passions lie in the ongoing developments in research on the gut and its influence on the body's systems. I chose this particular course as it provided the greatest number of clinic hours compared to others, giving me the opportunity to work with clients as part of my training. I am a member of the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners and a Registered Naturopath with the General Naturopathic Council. I am also a qualified yoga teacher (200hr RYT, Yoga Alliance).
