If something is bothering you emotionally it can feel difficult to know what to do about it. Making the first step to seek support demonstrates your commitment to change, and can be a big step towards feeling better. During our Edinburgh-based Counselling sessions, you are encouraged to explore your thoughts and feelings in a confidential and supportive space. You might have a strong sense of what is troubling you, or you might not feel so clear - either way we gently look at what is going on for you, and often this can give you a new perspective and greater insight into whatever is causing you distress.

When can Counselling help?

You might come to counselling because you are struggling with a life event such as divorce, bereavement or having a baby. Or you may be looking for support for a specific reason, such as:

* depression

* anxiety and stress

* antenatal or postnatal depression

* infertility issues

* relationship issues

* confidence issues

* loneliness

* sexual abuse

* suicidal feelings

Initial consultation, 60 minutes £60

Subsequent sessions, 60 minutes £65

The first few sessions were exhaustingly emotional (I owe her a box of kleenex tissues, lol) but I ploughed on and on and gradually started to feel more positive, I was able to think clearer, able to adjust my day to day life for the better, and therefore improved my ability to cope. I am like a different person. I wouldn’t be feeling as good now if I wasn’t for these sessions.
